Continuing in 2015, the four teams from the AFC West will compete to encourage football fans to use or be the designated driver. The AFC West Designated Driver Challenge is generating competition and excitement around the designated driver program. For every fan who makes the pledge to be a designated driver at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, during regular season home games, the Broncos will score a touchdown and earn six points in the Challenge.

There are 8 locations of the designated driver program at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. Fans who pledge to be designated drivers receive a complimentary soft drink or O’Doul’s non-alcoholic brew and a chance to be selected as the Designated Driver for the Game. Designated Drivers for the Game are recognized on the stadium video board and receive a $100 gift card for the Broncos team store. At the end of the regular season, one winner – the Designated Driver for the Season – will be selected and receive a $1,000 gift certificate to the Broncos team store. Since the 2010 Broncos season, one of the designated-driver locations at Sports Authority Field at Mile High has been staffed by Colorado State Patrol Officers.
