| Preseason Game 2 September 3, 2009 |
|
The 2009 New England Patriots preseason ended on a high note last night with a 38-27 win against the New York Giants! Our designated driver program was a success as well with over 700 Patriots fans making the pledge to never drive drunk, always have a designated driver, and always buckle up. Congratulations to our Designated Driver of the Game from the Patriots vs. Cincinnati Bengals game on August 20th, Katrina Francis! As Designated Driver of the Game, Katrina was awarded a pre-game field visit prior to kickoff. When asked about why she chose to sign up to be a designated driver, Katrina explained, “I am always the designated driver because I’m concerned about people getting home safely. This is why I signed up for the Designated Driver Program, I want to make sure that everyone else gets this same message.” Remember to sign up at any of our designated-driver locations:
At the end of the season, one fan, the Patriots Designated Driver for the Season, will be the Honorary Team Captain and join the Patriots captains for the coin toss on the 50-yard-line to start the final home game of the season on December 27, 2009. The Patriots Designated Driver for the Season will also receive an autographed Patriots helmet and have a chance to follow the Patriots to Super Bowl XLIV at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida on February 7, 2010. At Gillette Stadium this season, there is no doubt that Responsibility Has Its Rewards.
